![]() It has the regular Moog logo on the back panel and shipped in a custom flight case with the Moog logo on the case. just spent 69. There is also a rare limited edition with blue LED lighting that came in a purple aluminum case. The third version, called the Stage II, had some minor mechanical and electrical tweaks as well as adding a USB interface, a new arpeggiator and tap tempo. ![]() The later 'Stage Edition' featured orange and red lighting, grey rubberized panels and the classic Moog logo replacing the signature. The earlier 'Tribute Edition', a limited run of 1200 units, featured blue LED lighting, wooden side panels and Bob Moog's signature decaled onto the convex back panel. Envelope volumen with start knob in 0, decay in 2 or 3, a little sustain and very little release. Is very simple and give me a very control start. Aside from a few cosmetic differences (and price), all units have nearly identical sound generation circuitry. When i want to program any sound in phatty i start with an initial preset. There are currently four versions of the Little Phatty. On 9 September 2013, Moog Music announced the discontinuation of the Little Phatty analog synthesizer. This allows for better integration in the modern studio and for live performance. It is one of the few Moog synthesizers to utilize MIDI from the factory (the others being the Minimoog Voyager and the earlier Memorymoog+). Jordan Rudess of the band Dream Theater also assisted with the design of the product. It is also the first Moog product to be produced following his death. Free software editor/librarians are available for the Subsequent 37, Subsequent 37 CV, Sub 37, Sub Phatty, Minitaur, and Theremini. I saw there are also already editors for the Sub Phatty and Minitaur. I know currently the Sub37 editor is in development and will be realeased soon hopefully. Its design was conceived, in part, by Robert Moog himself, and is the last instrument to have that distinction, although the primary engineer was Cyril Lance. Slim/Little Phatty Editor - Free Version by teiko Tue 2:35 pm Dear Moog Team, I own a Slim Phatty and Sub37 for some months now. They are both limited octave-wise but it matches up with a bass's range kinda or a good voice (for leads), so I can see why people use it with an 88 or 61 below it.The Little Phatty is a monophonic analog synthesizer manufactured by Moog Music from 2006 to 2013, preceded by the Voyager and succeeded by Voyager Old School. It's probably my first and last mono synth. The LPs front panel has four variable-function edit controls for real-time adjustment of the Modulation, Oscillator, Filter and Envelope Generator parameters. I think some people will be happier with a sub37 (two notes, mildly prefer some knob layout options), but I'm not getting rid of my lil phatty stage ii anytime soon. ![]() It sends all the notes, so as a midi controller you can play chords/poly synth it. If you don't like monosynth or need to do poly, you can use it as a midi controller and it does fine for leads or bass lines. It's got that analog monosynth key switching (unless used as a midi controller)- if you move to a new key without letting up it skips the A in ADSR, and if you let up you get a new note with all the ADSR. It is like an organ feel from the keys though. The expressiveness of the keys is really top notch. Lil Fatty only has 2 osc, mini has 3 so there are a few things that would require an external osc to do. You can program up some funky bass sounds (hi bernie worrell!) and some moog mini sounding leads. This manual covers the features and functions of the Little Phatty®, including the front panel controls, the presets, the arpeggiator, the MIDI implementation, and the hidden parameters. I mean- two seconds with the Taurus bass pedal presets and I was in love. Learn how to use the Little Phatty®, a powerful and expressive analog synthesizer that offers a wide range of sonic possibilities. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to learn on, because you have to toggle buttons for some of the knobs to do different things. It's okay to navigate from the front panel if you know analog synthesis.
